Cet article pose les bases des différents procédés utilisés par la langue pepel pour la relativisation. La langue distingue deux types de fonctionnement. La première stratégie est marquée par la présence d’un relativiseur enclitique du verbe qui inclut une marque de classe. La seconde stratégie se manifeste par la présence d’un morphème qui se place entre l’antécédent et la relative. Comme en pepel tous les arguments sont relativisables, nous examinons, successivement, la relativisation du sujet, ensuite celle de l’objet et des circonstants. |
